Migrants demand safer ways to cross the border into United States

MEXICO CITY, Mexico - After risking their lives in the hopes of making it into the United States, migrants from Central American are demanding safer ways to cross the border.
Thousands of immigrants jump on a freight train called the "La Bestia" -- which means "The Beast." and the name holds true meaning.
Along the route many will end up either losing their limbs or being killed as a result of falling under the wheels.
Many others end up being robbed or attacked by gangs.
If that is not enough of a risk, if you make it alive, you still have a chance of getting caught and arrested.
During a protest Monday, more than a dozen people in attendance had lost a limb in their attempt to cross the border.
They say it should not be that dangerous and are calling for safer alternatives.

From today on out, they may find out that they "wasted" their life attempting this illegal venture. All for nought.
they should be shot while crossing the border not arrested . does the word illegal mean anything we have enough people up hear looking for a free ride if i had it my way they would all go back not just the mexicans the whole dam lot of then if your not legal if you can't speak english than go home i don't have a problem with someone who wants to work earn their way & pay their taxes like the rest of us . its the freeloaders i have a problem with
I can see the next lib bill coming in Congress. If an illegal is injured crossing the border, he/she is entitled to lifelong disability payments.
AMEN BRO....WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF WE CROSSED INTO MEXICO OR CANADA LIKE THE ILLEGAL ONES DO HERE AND ASKED FOR ALL THE FREE STUFF ON OUR DIME $2,800 PER MONTH, $200 FOOD CARD, FREE HEALTH CARE, FREE POWER IN MANY CASES, .....AND.......$1,500 PER MONTH FOR EVERY ANCOR BABY THEY HAVE HERE.... It is alarming that anyone would risk so much to come to the USA.
Is it because the US system is one of privilege compared to what is available in other countries such as Mexico?
Is it because Mexico has some how been deprived of the means required to make their country so grand that they would not want to leave?
Is it the violence and poverty that makes them want to leave?
The world's problems are best looked at squarely. See the roots of problems while doing your assessment of the situation.
It's a small world after all. (Sing it!)
