Rumors Fly As America Awaits Confirmation Of Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Candidacy

Hillary Clinton Addresses National Council for Behavioral Health Conference
Though not the only Democrat to step up in the race for U.S. Presidency in 2016, Hillary Clinton is being criticized for not taking a definitive step toward announcing her official candidacy. With rumors beginning to emerge as to why the former Secretary of State isn’t actively campaigning or confirming her intentions, Hillary Clinton is making headlines for her alleged lack of zest for the upcoming campaign.
According to U.S. Presidential Election News, Joe Biden ranks alongside Hillary Clinton as a likely presidential candidate. When compared with the Republican party’s list of likely candidates, the ratio of Democrats to Republicans considering presidency is 1:5. The Wall Street Journal recently commented on Hillary’s lack of participation in pre-nomination fundraising, which may affect the former U.S. Senator’s chances in the race.
As the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, the former Secretary of State came under fire when it was discovered she billed taxpayers for nearly a quarter of a million dollars in private jet costs while serving as a U.S. Senator. Clinton’s spending history isn’t the only area of her life to come under scrutiny: her decisions as a former U.S. Senator and Secretary of State have been subjects of political discussions since 2013.
Although she stands out as the most promising Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton has not yet stepped out of the shadows to actively campaign, and could be harming her chances of a win in the process. Despite Clinton being the Democratic party favorite for the 2016 Presidential Election, her visibility in the media and interaction with constituents has thus far been limited to sporadic speaking engagements.
The Economist suggests Clinton’s 2012 bout with blood clots and other health problems could harm her lead whether or not she announces definitive plans to run for president. In a 2014 interview with Diane Sawyer, Hillary revealed her struggles with dizziness after her 2012 fall. The mystery surrounding Clinton’s health conditions combined with her relative absence from the 2016 election spotlight has been disheartening for her supporters.
Supporters of Hillary Clinton for President in 2016 continue to hold out hope that Hillary will start to aggressively campaign, raise funds, and confirm her intentions to run. Tweets released from the former Secretary of State have hinted at the core issues she would focus on during a campaign, such as childcare, income equality, and strengthening families, Time reports. For now, experts predict it may be another 2-5 months before Hillary Clinton emerges as the strong candidate many Democrats are seeking.
