UU8534 -  “ Announcement - Next Monday”

Hi Everyone,

I come to you today to give you a recent update on the election process and how this relates towards the international rollout of the IQD for Iraq.

Note: If you have not read my previous news letter from Monday 8/18, I encourage you to first read it (LINK). Today's news letter, as in all my news letters, is a continuation of the ongoing saga of the IQD RV process.
Today’s News

Today is Wednesday 08/20 and all the news still looks very encouraging that next week’s window of  8/25 – 8/31 is shaping up to be an excellent window to hear of the announcement of the completed government of Iraq.

I will add that no one really knows a date of the RV we can only speculate from the information we receive. But I have been informed it will coincide closely to the announcement of the new government.

On Monday I sent out some news referring to a high possibility that we would hear of an announcement of a fully formed Iraq government within a few weeks. This is proving still to be the case.

So on Tuesday my source in Iraq revealed that Prime Minister-designate Haider Abadi has stated once again he plans to  present his new government  (cabinet) to parliament on Monday 8/25, after much  progress in the political negotiations to form his new council of ministers.

The new president Fuad Masum and the USA government had stressed days ago the need to form the next government quickly according to the specified constitutional ceiling and it looks like all efforts are being made to comply.

Remember that the prime minister-designate Haider al-Abadi, announced last week, he would reject any candidate of the political blocs for ministerial positions, unless a competent, integrity and good experience, as well as a program that will manage him and his ministry. "

Committees were put together from each of the blocs to research and submit possible candidates. This system seems to have sped up the process for this election year and so we will probably see the ministers very soon.

According to my political sources in Iraq, the intention was to reduce the government of Iraq and make it home to about 20-25 ministers instead of 35 as in the current government.

Also the fight against financial and administrative corruption is and must be a priority for the new government, and the sheer size of the rampant corruption in the government is taking longer than expected to correct.

This corruption is hampering any progress of finding appropriate candidates for the security ministry. This was the major bottleneck but should be resolved this week. A few good candidates are now being considered.

I have also heard officially about full amnesty being given to many of the political prisoners, since, if you recall these are the political rivals of Maliki as he convinced the USA to lock them in prison as terrorist.

This too has given him the edge over these years especially in the 2010 election since his main competition had been removed. These leaders are now being released and will be used in this new government.

I think this governmental cleanup was all a wakeup call for all the politicians and is way overdue. It is like starting with a clean slate and moving forward. I like it ! It shows us that they are now serious to get down to business in running their government. All very good signs for us.

Recent CBI News

Seems whenever there is a high probability that the currency reform project could get kick started once again, the CBI makes an announcement. So once again they have come out with a statement this week saying “likely that the coming weeks will see an improvement over the value of the dinar against the dollar, and this will enhance the confidence of the world with it”.

The Finance Committee also has confirmed early this week that 2014 will see the deletion of zeros from the Iraqi currency, are described: The deletion of the zeros will be in coordination with the Central Bank.

Nori Al-Maliki News

Some of you are still emailing me about the outgoing prime minister Nori Al-Maliki and wondering why he is still in the news since he is supposedly gone. I will answer this rather firmly because you still do not listen to me when I tell you. Read my lips if you don’t understand English.

STOP READING ALL THE GARBAGE OUT THERE !

Maliki is still the provisional prime minister until the new government is formed, ratified by parliament and announced. He still has a council of ministers and continues to keep the government running.

Someone has to do it. Who else is going to do it? Abadi is only the designate prime minister until his council is formed and seated. Abadi is way to busy putting together the government now than to be running it. The election process is set up to function this way.
It is debatable as to how good of a job Maliki is doing but that is the process. He has already moved out of his residence and his office that was provided to him by the government. He is now under 24/7 guard due to a recent (factual) assassination attempt he made on Abate’s life (the designate PM) and an attempt that was made on his life by one of his bodyguards.

Talks of him leaving the country may be factual but he comes back just as you would after a visit to someone you know. He is an opium addict and a drug dealer. I imagine he goes somewhere for a fix. He still has freedom of movement but is being watched and guarded.

He will stand trial for his crimes there is no doubt about that. His crimes are just too horrendous and heinous to overlook. He will be used as an example for the rest of the world to witness when the time comes.

The negative impacts on Iraq and the delaying of the 5 year reconstruction plan by 8 years is just too great to overlook. We are talking about one man delaying global progress. Yes – one man did all this! We should have had the RV, been to the banks and built our new homes by now. Iraq should already have HCL and this great prosperity just around the corner.

Do you really understand the negative impact this man has had?  The trust and potential for greatness he floundered and carelessly threw away! Countless lives lost. Who do we blame for this?

I do not want to blame anyone since you can’t predict how people will behave but I will say helping to seat this man as prime minister and supporting (backing him up) throughout the entire 8 years has been a major blunder on the part of the USA.

Especially in 2012, when president Talibani, Allawi and Sadr stcvked the deck in their favor and pleaded with the USA to drop all support of him and let them get rid of him.

You can do the research yourself on this man. I have talked about him in many of my past news letters. Please go back and re-read them.

Funny how we have short memories and some of us are determined to stick by this man no matter what. I will just say one final comment about Nori Al-Maliki. If the devil himself was ever in the flesh this would be him.

Summary

So today’s news is all very, very good news. Nothing but very good news to report.

What can we expect next?

So the clock is still ticking once again and the new PM now has just 21 days (about 3 weeks) remaining to make the announcement of his fully formed new government to the world. We all expected to hear of the announcement this weekend or even later this week  but it did not happen so far.

We now know why. Once Abadi began his work on putting together the new government he discovered that the effort was much more than anticipated and there was much more “house cleaning” needed from the old administration. Currently too I am hearing a major obstacle with the selection of the new Security minister. This is now being resolved and a candidate should be selected by the end of the week.

Abadi is optimistic that the new government will be formed by end of this week and early new week plans to make the formal announcement to the world.

Then when can we expect the RV?

All I will say is what I have been saying all along. Since the prime minister is now selected (the third of the three presidents) we wait for his council (or cabinet) to be fully formed and a formal announcement to the public that the Iraq government is now fully formed. Many of you asked me if a formal, public announcement is necessary and the answer is a big fat YES.

I do whole heartedly believe that the RV rollout will be completed just prior to or just after this announcement. We are once again in a very sweet spot to see the RV see something significant happen early next week. Be patient it is coming.
I want to emphasize once again this final announcement of the IQD going international will not happen until the USA feels the Iraq government is stable, non-sectarian and is a functional government.

This is has been the plan all along. They may have wavered a bit on how the plan was implemented but the overall plan guidelines have not changed.

Peace and Luv To Ya All,    Mnt Goat
