Cracks have begun to appear in the official story of the Boston bombing—chief among them the revelation that the Tsarnaev brothers had been under surveillance for at least two years. So why, on April 19, 2013, four days after the bombing, did the FBI go on live televisionbegging the public to help ID the brothers when they had known them intimately? The FBI knew their faces, where they lived, movements, and emails, even interviewing Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his family on one occasion! The FBI needed the public’s help in finding the Tsarnaev brothers? Strange indeed. Additionally, it was revealed last week that Tamerlan Tsarnaev—the so-called “mastermind” of the bombing—more than likely was approached by the FBI to become an informant—which he refused.
We look at this and other “cracks” in the official story in this exclusive Western Center for Journalism video.
