UPDATE: "According
to Infowars reporter David Knight, who is on location, the BLM
is standing down and will be releasing Cliven Bundy’s cattle shortly. This
comes after reports stating that feds were ready to fire on protesters if they
attempted to seize the rancher’s cattle."
Why? There's a good possibility that the directive to stand down
came from the White House. The Democrats are in a political tail spin.
Political aspirations look bad for November. They don't need daily reports on
how the Feds are armed to the teeth persecuting a lone rancher and his cattle.
Waco and Ruby Ridge come to mind. The Democrats are trying to clear the deck of
potential bad news stories. Getting rid of Kathleen Sebelius is part of the
process.
Reports that Harry
Reid and his family have a vested interest in this government
land doesn't help the government's case against Cliven Bundy, especially with
the bad publicity that he's gotten lately over payouts to his family.
What follows is the original article posted April 11, 2014:
Governments thrive and survive on ignorance. They take advantage
of how ill- and uninformed people are. That’s why government schools were
created. Freedom of thought is limited. Textbooks are chosen for adoption by
the school board. Administrators aren’t going to allow any history or civics
book teach a political worldview that will damage their educational and
political monopoly. H.L. Mencken (1880-1956) wrote:
“The aim of public education is not to spread enlightenment at
all; it is simply to reduce as many individuals as possible to the same safe
level, to breed and train a standardized citizenry, to put down dissent and
originality. That is its aim in the United States, whatever the pretensions of
politicians, pedagogues and other such mountebanks, and that is its aim
everywhere else.”
So what is the government afraid of in the Cliven Bundy land
dispute with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM)?
We’re hearing that it’s about a tortoise. Maybe if Americans see
that the federal government is trying to save an endangered animal that they’ll
side with the Feds.
It’s my opinion that the BLM does not want the rest of America to
know how much land is owned by the federal government and what its various
agencies do with it.
What if Americans get fed up with the Feds and tell them to give
back the land they took from the states? All hell would break loose. More
centralized dominoes would fall. The Feds can’t let it happen.
Here’s a map you may not be familiar with.
“The United States government has direct ownership of almost 650
million acres of land (2.63 million square kilometers) – nearly 30% of its total territory. These federal lands
are used as military bases or testing grounds, nature parks and reserves and
Indian reservations, or are leased to the private sector for commercial
exploitation (e.g. forestry, mining, agriculture). They are managed by
different administrations, such as the Bureau of Land Management, the US Forest
Service, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Park Service, the
Bureau of Indian Affairs, the US Department of Defense, the US Army Corps of
Engineers, the US Bureau of Reclamation or the Tennessee Valley Authority.”
The federal government makes money off these lands through lease
arrangements. Where does the money go? Back to Washington where it is used to
expand the national government’s reach.
Notice how most of the federally occupied land is west of the
Mississippi where population density is not very high compared to states east
of the Mississippi. While each state gets two senators, the House of
Representatives is based on population.
Nevada has three representatives. Compare that to Texas (32), New
York (29), and California (53).
The federal government owns 84.5 percent of Nevada. Compare that
to New York at less than 1 percent.
Did you noticed how much support the media gave the Occupied Wall
Street crowd? Did the Federal government use anything near the fire power it's
loading up in Nevada against them?
And how about the refusal of the Federal government to protect our
nation's borders? Illegal aliens cross over and use federal lands all the time
and don't meet much resistance. In fact, once they enter the country illegally,
we pay for many of them to live here. So why are the Feds going after one
rancher who isn't bothering anybody?

The UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT has no "Right Of Soil" same as any other municipal corporation. PERIOD. (I know some of you will look that up - I hope.)
