Curb disease-causing inflammation naturally
Hi John
I remember having a conversation with a woman who proudly told me that she was happy to be in good health in her mid-50's.
This is how she described "good health":
  • Her cholesterol was under good control with statins
  • Her blood pressure stayed right around 120/80 with medication
  • Acid reducers kept her acid reflux at bay
  • Imitrex worked like a charm on her migraines
  • Her allergies weren't too bad as long as she takes her Allegra
THAT'S good health?
This woman is anything BUT healthy.  What she has is a chemically-induced absence of symptoms.
And get this—she was a nurse to boot!
Sadly, people like this sickly nurse are increasing in frightening numbers in our society today.
People are typically not dealing with just one isolated health challenge anymore--many have two or more chronic conditions which are not "cured" but rather are just "managed" with multiple medications.
And that's our new definition for "health"--medicated for life and never really feeling good, but making drug companies rich beyond belief.
What's behind these health horrors?
While there are many reasons for our abysmal states of health, far and away, the number one underlying factor is chronic inflammation.
Let's take a little closer look at chronic inflammation's growing resume, because it's the primary causative factor behind ALL of these health issues:
  • Current figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) put the prevalence of obesity among adults at about 66 percent (2 out of 3 people).
  • Allergies now rank sixth among chronic diseases.
  • Hay fever has doubled in developed countries in EACH of the past 3 decades.
  • Nearly 1 out of 10 young children are affected by allergic dermatitis, which is triple the rate from 1960.
  • More than 25 million Americans have asthma—twice as many as in 1990.
  • Nearly 26 million Americans have diabetes. And estimates are that by 2025, the number of Americans with diabetes will be at least 50 million.
  • Arthritis and joint disease affect 43 million people in the United States--almost 1 out of 5 people.
  • Over 5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s disease
  • Depressive disorders affect nearly 10% (1 out of 10) of American adults age 18 and older.
  • And the granddaddy of them all—heart disease continues to be our number #1 killer.  About one million of us die from it each year, and even at birth a person stands a 50/50 chance of eventually dying from heart disease.
If those statistics don't scare you, I don't know what will.
Fight back
The glimmer of hope in this grim health reality of ours is that there are ways you can help fight chronic inflammation and help prevent it from unleashing its wrath on you.
And even if you are already affected with one or more chronic diseases, you too can also help mitigate their effects and even possibly reduce or eliminate the need for certain medications!
Here are four effective inflammation-fighting diet strategies that can help make all the difference in YOUR state of health:
1) Eat away at inflammation
These are foods that have been shown to help reduce inflammation:
  • Garlic
  • Onions
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Flaxseeds
  • Walnuts
  • Herbs and spices such as turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, oregano, basil and rosemary
2) Get those Omega-3 EFAs
Omega-3 essential fatty acids are Nature's anti-inflammatory.  These are found in abundance in fatty fish like salmon, tuna and cod.
Unfortunately, also found in abundance in these critters are high levels of mercury, PCB’s, and other toxins, especially in those caught from the Atlantic.
Considering this sad reality, it's wise to significantly limit or avoid Atlantic varieties, and eat only wild-caught Pacific or Alaskan varieties.
In addition, because toxins magnify as you go up the food chain, smaller species such as sardines, anchovies, and shellfish are still relatively safe choices.
Now, if you don't care for fish, don't eat it that often or want to avoid the dirty fish risk altogether, fish oil supplementation can be a great way to get what you need.
And for a pure, top-quality fish oil formula that's up to the inflammation-fighting challenge, look no farther than VitalMega-3.

VitalMega-3 is a pure, super-potent fish oil that provides 1,200 mg. of Omega-3 essential fatty acids in every daily 2-capsule serving, including 600 mg. of EPA and 400 mg. of DHA—the two Omega-3 EFAs most recommended by health experts.
Just remember to let your doctor know what supplements you’re taking, especially if you are on medications like blood thinners.
3) Do the avoid-dance
Just as important as getting natural sources of anti-inflammatories is avoiding these inflammation-causing foods:
  • Sunflower oil, corn oil and other processed vegetable oils
  • Refined sugar
  • Refined salt
  • Bleached white flour
  • Processed, packaged foods of all kinds
  • Foods that contain trans-fats (found in processed foods and baked goods)
  • Soda
  • Coffee
  • Meat and eggs from conventionally farmed animals, especially beef and chicken.  Strive for organic versions of these.
  • Conventionally grown produce with high pesticide residues.  Try to buy organic as much as you can.
4) Reduce the acid wastes in your body
Acid waste buildup in your body is a significant cause of chronic inflammation, and this is primarily the result of poor digestion.
And considering that the typical American meal is next-to-impossible for our bodies to efficiently digest, it's no wonder that we lead the world in numbers of cases of chronic diseases--we're practically lighting fires of inflammation with every meal!
But you can help turn that around and improve your digestion by simply making your meals easier for your body to break down.
And that is precisely what following the suggestions in the Great Taste No Pain health system will help you achieve.

PS: Becky’s feeling a whole lot better!

Hi Sherry,
I found your website quite by accident. Since I have been suffering untold misery for the thirty five years from gastritis, I figured what the heck. Can't hurt and it just might work.
When I got your Great Taste No Pain plan it sounded ok, I decided to go ahead and give it a shot.
Well, let me tell you what was going on first (Pre- Great Taste No Pain plan).  I had acid reflux so bad the doctor increased my stomach meds to twice as much plus it was causing my asthma to activate.
I had to increase my emergency inhaler to four times a day. I was already having to use a regular asthma inhaler (Advair 250) twice a day. I have to have a biopsy on my throat because of the acid reflux.
I still have to have the biopsy, but my reflux (as long as I don't get off the plan) is gone. The usage of my inhaler is back to twice a day on the regular inhaler.
I can finely sleep at night. Before it was impossible because of the asthma, made worse by acid reflux.
Another great side effect of this eating plan is weight loss. Thirty pounds! I didn't even get the program for the weight loss; it was for my acid reflux.
It also helped my arthritis. I’m just getting better and better.
I will always use your program. It's a God Send.
Thank you Sherry for saving my life.
Becky
