The overthrow (and murder) of Gaddafi was primarily by foreign intervention, has profound consequences for Libyans today

I agree with the last line in this !!! As for the media anywhere, I don't know what truth is !!! If all countries would mind their own affairs and take care of their own people, UNLIKE THE CORPORATIONS WHO LIKE TO THINK THEY RULE THE WORLD, OUR WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE..

The second anniversary of Nato's intervention on the side of the Libyan rebels and against Muammar Gaddafi, passed with 'scarcely a mention' -- by foreign governments and media,
Who were (then) SO concerned about the security and human rights of the Libyan people - in 2011.
These two incidents below, 'raised a mention' , however: . . . . . . .
"Libya Prime Minister Ali Zeidan kidnapped" - 10 Oct. - 2013

TRIPOLI, Libya -- Even by the standards of a country used to turmoil and bloodshed, it has been a dramatic four-day span for Libya and locals say: they are fed up.
"Of course the government is weak!" said Younes Lanis, a 27-year-old businessman. "I mean, every group has been trying to gain influence over the others. The government and the congress cannot do anything against them."
On Thursday, 10 Oct. 2013, Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan was kidnapped (briefly) by an armed group, claiming to be acting in retaliation for his alleged complicity in the commando raid, only to be released a short while later.
On Saturday, 5 Oct. 2013, American commandos snatched Nazih Abdul-Hamed al-Ruqai, an al-Qaeda figure long sought by the United States for,
Allegedly plotting the deadly attacks on American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998, off the street in a Tripoli suburb.
Both events, say analysts, highlight the chaotic nature of Libya's slow, and arguably stalled, transition, toward a functional democracy.
And both show that the country lacks the stability to be considered anything but a work in progress."

This should be no surprise, since Libya today is visibly falling apart as a country and Libyans are at the mercy of militiamen who prey on those whom they formerly claimed to protect.
[Terrorism has continued to thrive in Libya since the fall of the Moammar Gadhafi regime in 2011, which saw the country divided and militia taking control in various areas of the country.]
It means that the insurgents, while claiming and believing that their victory was all their own work, have proved too weak to fill the vacuum left by the fall of Gaddafi's version of Arab nationalism.
Without it there is little to counterbalance Islamic fundamentalism or tribalism. . . . . . . . . . .

Gaddafi failed to obey his master-the Black Pope and his Lords over the City of London Corporation(s)- USA's owners. Gadaffi "dared" to want hard-backed currency like JFK did. See the Unhived Mind: http://theunhivedmind.com/UHM/the-papal-plans-for-the-destruction-and-phoenix-rebirth-of-the-middle-east/ but more importantly, one needs to be washed in the soul- cleansing blood of the Lamb-Yahshua . Believe, rely, and trust in Him.
