Conservatism or Socialism

Subject: Conservatism or Socialism

Note: I usually send this as an attachment but I think the liberals have taken over my computer. If I try to send an attachment the computer locks up and refuses to cooperate. Nothing I do or say helps. I would hope the republicans, conservatives and Tea Party members of the U.S. House will stick to their demands and not give in the liberals. Even if we have this so called "shutdown". One of my friend sent me this quip "how often do we hear that Social Security is going broke but we never hear that welfare is going broke". As we look at this statement we see where both parties have failed; by not passing a budget and sticking with it. The liberals are afraid if they had a budget that would impose a limit on their funds to buy votes. The republicans, well what can I say, they just don't get it. And we may do well to remember this saying, "it is not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog". Lets kick some liberal butt!

Conservatism or Socialism

I retired when I was 74. Not 62, not 65 but at 74, 31 December 2012. I could have retired earlier but I felt I needed to stay active; politics had made me be somewhat cautious. I did not want to leave the daily arena of life with the ominous clouds that were foreboding of the times ahead. I could see that liberalism was slowly gaining ground in our politics. I voiced my displeasure from time to time, supported what I thought was conservatives and went on with my daily routine. What I did not see was the damage that results when we fail to require people to understand our democracy and that people, from birth, have to be raised to care for their self and support a government controlled by the people; not a government that controls the people.

The problem with being a conservative; you have to take care of yourself and your family. You have to understand that the people should control the government. You have to understand we are here to support the government. The government is not here to support us. You have to understand that equality is not a birthright. Equality comes from living in a democracy and participating in the maintenance of that democracy.

The problem with being a liberal; is that you give up your right to participate in a democratic government. Once you exchange your vote for the promises of the liberals you are from then on a ward of the state. You then march to the propaganda machine of the liberals. You then rely on the government for upkeep and political thoughts. By now you should see where this is going. By its very nature liberalism fails; either conservatives regain control or liberalism becomes socialism.

Due to our (conservatives) lack of focus on leadership we have let the republicans gradually move left of center and now have become rinos. The rinos, fearing losing the next election have tried to pander to some liberal issues to get votes. The conservatives, seeing rinos running scared, have joined with the Tea Party in supporting conservative issues. This has helped to slow down the liberals but not stop them. Think about this; if there was no Tea Party where would we be now?

bho and the liberals would have complete control of the USA. The borders would be open and we would be overwhelmed by illegals. The treasury would be running 24/7 to print enough money for the liberals to spend. Inflation would be rampant. This country would be ruined forever. AND WE ARE ALMOST THERE NOW.

To those that are unsure where they are on the political scale at this time; Try to develop some kind of logical process to evaluate where you see your future. Look at what political system will be in your future. Look at what you will have or require for the rest of your life. Look at what you have now. What will it take for me to be socially, economically and politically secure for the rest of my life. What will be my livelyhood? Will I have enough goods and services? Will there be a political system that will operate the country? Who will control this political system? Will we have adequate military to protect the country? What political group will I be associated with? Who will control this political group? Numerically where will my political group stand? Will I be a taker or a giver? If I am a taker will there be enough takers to protect my right to take?

What if there is nothing to take? Socialism is not an efficient producer of goods and services, takers beware!
