It's that time of year...
Autumn is fast approaching and the signs are all around you:
Leaves changing from green to bright yellow, orange and red
Halloween costumes and candy all over the stores
Pumpkins, apples and gourds
Football

And the biggest indicator of all:
"GET YOUR FLU SHOT HERE!" signs plastered around every single pharmacy on God's green earth.
This time of year the most common questions I get are about immune health, viruses and the biggie -- THE FLU.
It's easy to see why...
Because there is SO much conflicting information out there that people's heads are spinning and they don't know what to do.
Should I get a flu shot?
Take vitamins? If so, which ones?
What should I eat--more vegetables? Chicken soup?

Let's take a closer look at a touchy immune-related subject for many--flu shots--as well as some VERY effective ways to strengthen your immune system to help protect you against sicknesses and diseases of all kinds.
Flu shots--the cold hard facts
The average person is under the impression that flu shots are both safe and necessary.
Truth is, they are not safe.
And they are not necessary.
Here IS the truth -- five FACTS that you MUST know about flu shots that you will never hear from your friendly neighborhood pharmacy that advertises "Flu Shots every day! Walk-ins welcome!"
FLU SHOT FACT 1- There is NO WAY to tell what getting annual flu shots will do to your immune system in the long run. There are absolutely NO safety studies to that effect.
So you're offering yourself up as a guinea pig each time you roll up your sleeve. Good luck with that.
FLU SHOT FACT 2- ALL vaccines depress your immune system for possibly weeks or months, which makes you MORE susceptible to not only the flu but every other virus or infection around.
How's that for a kicker?
FLU SHOT FACT 3- Vaccines contain neurotoxins like mercury preservatives (aka thimerosal) which have been linked to autism, as well as aluminum (which has been linked to Alzheimer's)--both of which also compromise your immune system functioning. Throw in some formaldehyde and other nasties and you've got a nice toxic soup. (All these and more ingredients are verified by the CDC, btw.)
Dr. Hugh Fudenberg, a world-leading immunogeneticist, has extensively studied the effects of the flu vaccine on neurological health. These studies show that an individual has a 10X greater chance of getting Alzheimer's disease after receiving just five flu shots in their life compared to those who have had 0-1 shot in their lifetime.
FLU SHOT FACT 4- Vaccines can also trigger allergies where there were none before because they introduce large protein molecules directly into your bloodstream, so your body doesn't have a chance to break them down in your GI tract like it's supposed to.
Your immune system can respond to these proteins in the form of an allergic reaction, just like it can with food molecules, pollen, cat dander and other proteins that aren't properly broken down.
And here's the biggie...
FLU SHOT FACT 5- There's NO PROOF whatsoever that they work!
Oh, I know this one might be hard to swallow...
But despite what the drug companies claim, there are simply NO studies that PROVE flu vaccines significantly decrease numbers of flu cases or mortality (deaths) from the flu. All studies prove that they don't.
Flu vaccinations repeatedly come up short in study after study when it comes to having any measurable impact on reducing illness and death from the flu.
How 'bout that?
Talk about smoke and mirrors.
And here's something else for you to think about: When you read the news reports citing scary flu case statistics, one thing you will NEVER see them mention is how many of those flu cases were people who actually GOT a flu shot.
THAT statistic is not found in the press releases sent to the media -- because it would be staggering number!

If you take a little time to explore the flu evidence you may come to these conclusions on “the flu”.

The bottom line on the “Seasonal Flu” is you do NOT want protection from ONLY the seasonal flu virus. There are 4 viruses in the “Flu Shot”.
