NYT: Detroit Bankruptcy Shows How Wall Street Wins

How long is Congress going to allow Wall Street and the 'too big to fail' banks to rape and plunder America? This is just another example of the bait and switch game the elite bankers engage in and what does Congress do about it? So far as I've seen, not much beyond hand wringing when the cameras are rolling. What are they really doing on the Hill? This is the worst kind of deceitful governing by deception as our lawmakers not only allow such banking practices but legislate the pathway for the banks to accomplish this fleecing of America. And it's been going on for a very long time.
"1892 – Bankers adopted their Bankers’ Manifesto of 1892 in which it was declared: “We [the bankers] must proceed with caution and guard every move made, for the lower order of people are already showing signs of restless commotion. Prudence will therefore show a policy of apparently yielding to the popular will until our plans are so far consummated that we can declare our designs without fear of any organized resistance. The Farmers Alliance and Knights of Labor organizations in the United States should be carefully watched by our trusted men, and we must take immediate steps to control these organizations in our interest or disrupt them….
The courts must be called to our aid, debts must be collected, bonds and mortgages foreclosed as rapidly as possible.
When through the process of the law, the common people have lost their homes, they will be more tractable and easily governed through the influence of the strong arm of the government applied to a central power of imperial wealth under the control of the leading financiers. People without homes will not quarrel with their leaders.”
Rags make paper,
Paper makes money,
Money makes banks,
Banks make loans,
Loans make poverty,
Poverty makes rags.

Wake up people. The bankers are not your friends, Congress, with few exceptions doesn't give a rats butt about you or your problems. All they care about is perpetuating their seat in Congress and retiring on Easy Street. And this is how you deal with them once awake.
Congressional Reform Act of 2013
1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below.
A. Two Six year Senate terms
B. Six Two year House terms
C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms
2. No Tenure / No Pension: A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security: All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.
4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people.
8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/14 ..
The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.
How about it Senators? Anyone patriotic and courageous enough to do the right thing? I'm betting not.
Until we reign in Congress and their 'gravy train' politics, we won't be able to fix problems like the big banks or Wall Street run amok. Before you vote, check out your senator and representative's voting record. If people would do that, most incumbents would get voted out. Don't listen to what they say, pay attention to what they do. And if you don't like that campaign against them. Once we have a Congress in place that truly works for the people, we can deal with Wall Street and the Federal Reserve. This is the year for it. Their hundred year contract is up in December. Will Congress give them another hundred years to take this country down? Watch out banksters, the 'lower order of people' are getting restless.
